House gutted in city

 SHILLONG: A house was gutted in a major fire in New Colony on Wednesday afternoon. The smoke from the fire was visible from many parts of Shillong.
It is said that it was a case of accidental fire and some LPG cylinders also burst in the incident.
Local MLA, Ampareen Lyngdoh said that six families were displaced following the incident. Many fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire.
