SHILLONG: Cabinet minister and BJP leader AL Hek has said that the MDA government is stable and there is no threat to the coalition.
Talking to media persons here recently, Hek said that the government is definitely stable and it is the Opposition’s work to destabilise the government.
“We are doing our job and there is no way that this government would collapse,” Hek said.
It may be mentioned that the Opposition Congress had moved a no-confidence motion against the government during the one-day special session convened recently, but it was disallowed by the Speaker.
When asked if the Congress is indulging in politics of opportunism, he said that not only Congress but every political party wants to use every opportunity.
“When the opportunity comes, every political party has to take a call,” Hek said.
Different constituents of the MDA have said the Congress had sent them feelers to form a new government in the state, but the party has denied such allegations.
