SHILLONG: The state unit of the BJP will organise programmes as part of the party’s 10-day mass contact drive from Sunday to mobilise support for the Citizenship Amendment Act.
BJP State President, Shibun Lyngdoh, on Friday said the party would organise the programmes in the state as per the directive of the high command.
“The BJP has implemented CAA as per its manifesto and it is for strengthening the country”, Lyngdoh said
Stating that the party is yet to receive materials for its programme, Lyngdoh added that the party would go to different localities in the state and hold consultations with stakeholders, including intellectuals, about the CAA.
