Dancers’ association wants special fund for local talents

SHILLONG: The president of the All Meghalaya Dancers Association, Kitbok Thabah has urged the Arts and Culture Minister, A.L. Hek to allot special sponsorship fund for talents who go out to compete at the national level.
Thabah, on behalf of the association, has conveyed best wishes to Gabriel T Mawlong from Mairang and Carmel Dohling from Khliehshnong, Sohra, who are the finalists at the grand finale of the India Talent Fight season-1, to be held in Delhi on January 11.
‘SWKH Got Talent’
Meanwhile, the Rngaid Development Society along with the All Meghalaya Dancer’s Association will organise the South West Khasi Hills Got Talent at the Dorbar Hall, Mawkyrwat, from 10 am till 4 pm.
With the boost from the South West Khasi Hills Got Talent platform, individuals can move on to higher platforms, ranging from the state, North East to the national level.
Three finalists will be selected for the state-level contest and the top finalist for the mega audition of the Meghalaya Super Star Season-IV, which will be held soon. For those who cannot attend the auditions, they can send their videos to: 6033144187/9856684323/9366297301.
