SHILLONG: The East Jaintia Hills police seized 14.83 grams of heroin and apprehended two persons in this connection.
East Jaintia Hills SP Vivekanand Singh said that on Monday, acting on a tip-off regarding a drug deal scheduled to take place in Khliehriat, a joint team of Anti Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) East Jaintia Hills, ANTF West Jaintia Hills, and Khliehriat Police Station intercepted one silver Maruti Alto Car (WB-02W-8025) and recovered 14.83 grams of heroin from the two occupants of the vehicle.
The arrested have been identified as Md. Zakir Hussain Laskar (32) and Imranul Hoque Laskar (27). A case has also been registered and investigation is going on.
