EJH cops arrest two African nationals

SHILLONG: East Jaintia Hills Police have arrested two African nationals for illegally entering the country.
East Jaintia Hills SP Vivekanand Singh said that they were arrested on Tuesday, around 12.30 am, when they were detected by Umtyra CP Staff while they were travelling in a night super bus (AS 01HC 9034) from Agartala to Guwahati.
They were detained for interrogation, however, when they could not produce valid documents to support their entry into the country, they were arrested.
The African nationals have been identified as James Obafor Omeya (32) and Paul Chidiebare Nwoon (28), both hailing from Nigeria.
With this arrest, the district police have altogether apprehended 24 foreign nationals in the last 3-4 months.
