Bangladeshi arrested
On January 19, around noon, on receiving inputs that around 30 to 40 Bangladeshi nationals were suspiciously moving around Balijhora village, West Garo Hills, police rushed to the spot and apprehended one Md. Mofuzul Hoque (28) of Haluahati village, Sherpur, Bangladesh and seized one mobile phone from his possession. During inquiry, he could not produce any valid documents and revealed that he entered into India, illegally.

Coal-laden trucks found
On January 21, around 11.45 am, police detected four trucks (AS-01CC-6379, AS-11DC-4584, NL-01AD-2764 and AS-11CC-9686) without drivers, parked at Mynkre Petrol Pump East Jaintia Hills loaded with coal in violation of NGT order.
On January 20, police detected two dumper trucks (ML-10B-8821 and ML10B-8841) at Lad Rymbai Dongwah Petrol Pump (EJH), reportedly meant for use of transportation of coal.

Bikes stolen
Samuel Infimate lodged a complaint that on January 21, miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-05R-0580), which was parked inside his residential compound at Lower New Colony, Shillong.
Ridhi Talukdar lodged a complaint that on January 21 between 2 am and 4 am, miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-05P-8726), which was parked at Pynthorbah, Block-I, Shillong.
