397 cattle seized from Inlt border

JOWAI: A total of 397 cattle were seized from India-Bangladesh border this month. The Superintendent of Police, West Jaintia Hills has informed that the BSF personnel of Dawki BOP seized 251 number of cattle intended for smuggling purposes while conducting patrolling along the International Border falling under Dawki PS jurisdiction.
The SP also informed the BSF of Muktapur BOP has seized 146 number of cattle intended for smuggling from the border falling under Muktapur PP. He has urged the owners or anyone who has knowledge of any cattle theft to approach Muktapur PP and Dawki PS respectively.
