CM discusses financial status of JHADC

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Government in the financial year of 2019-2020 released an amount of Rs 45 crores for the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC).

Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma in his visit to Jowai on Tuesday  held a meeting with the JHADC CEM and discussed about the financial situation

“ We have decided to have a meeting with all the different department and we will decide how to figure out everything,” he said

The Chief Minister  also informed that the State Government had almost cleared all the dues and amounts for this year financial year

During the meeting , JHADC said that they were yet to receive pending amount from the Government for the financial year of  2013-14 to  2016-2017

“ We need to verify this and we will look into the matter,” Sangma said adding he had asked the finance department to discuss the matter.

The JHADC during its meeting with the Chief Minister also asked for interim arrangements and Government has assured  to examine the matter.
