SHILLONG: The Director of NEIGRIHMS, DM Thappa, has hailed the judgement of the High Court, which quashed the FIR filed against the director alleging acts of molestation and corruption.
Thappa said that the judgement has given him relief as the “justice has prevailed”.
“I suffered a lot of mental agony for all these months for none of my faults,” he said.
It may be mentioned that the court, in its judgement, observed that criminal proceeding is maliciously instituted with an ulterior motive for wreaking vengeance on the accused and with a view to spite him due to private and personal grudge.
