SHILLONG: Following the Sunday attack on local persons at Pyrkan, Shella, demand has been raised to augment vigilance by both the Border Security Force (BSF) and the state Anti-infiltration activists to ensure that such attacks are not repeated.

It may be mentioned that two persons, 19-year-old Denglang Diengdoh and 21-year-old Harikanto Sargari were attacked by 5 suspected Bangladeshis. Diengdoh was grievously injured in the attack.

Condemning the incident, the Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) Shella Area unit in a press communiqué urged the BSF authorities to nab the persons involved in the attack who were suspected Bangladeshis.

The organisation has urged the concerned authorities to nab the culprits involved in the attack.
