Fraudulent transaction
Sandip Mree Sangma lodged a complaint that on Thursday around 4.30 pm, he received an anonymous phone call in which the caller asked for his credit card details. The complainant then furnished the details to the caller and later found that Rs 20,000 was fraudulently transacted from his card.
Theft
Krishna Ram lodged a complaint that on Thursday around 9 am, he found that unknown miscreants stole his motorcycle (ML-05P-6091) which was parked near M/s Kim Hyundai Workshop at Pynthorumkhrah.
On Monday around 11.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole battery bank valued around Rs 1,70,000 from Reliance Communication Tower at Puriang village, EKH.
Drugs seized
Prem Singh of E-Coy, 30 Bn BSF lodged a complaint that on Wednesday, acting of tip-off, BSF along with police intercepted one Maruti Alto tourist car (ML-05Q-2979) at NH-40 near Pomshutia under Pynursla PS, EKH. During search, police recovered 30 polythene packets containing WY Tablets weighing 0.622 kg and 10.83 grams yellowish-orange substance suspected to be heroin. Preliminary tests confirmed the seized items to be Yaba Tablets and heroin.
Assault
Oren Ch Marak of Dinaminggre village, EGH, lodged a complaint that on February 8 around 6 pm, six persons, viz. Talendro M Marak, Solomon M Marak, Bambath T Sangma, Silseng T Sangma, Chalisbath T Sangma and Bonath T Sangma, all hailing from the same village, dragged out Nemoshtine T Sangma from his house and assaulted him.
Ahinur Islam of Sialkandi village, WGH, lodged a complaint that on Monday around 7 pm, while he was returning home along with his brother, miscreants attacked the complainant’s brother with iron rod at Rajabala Tin Ali, WGH, and looted Rs 50,000 in cash.
