AHAM denies charges of extortion
From Our Correspodent

TURA: The A’chik Holistic Awakening Movement (AHAM) has denied that the three persons, including one of its members, who were recently thrashed by the public at Gopinathkilla market, had tried to extort money from the shopkeepers.
Giving itself a clean chit, the AHAM claimed that the altercation happened due to the over-charging by one shopkeeper for purchase of a ‘gutka’ and not because of any extortion bid by the group.
The group also lodged a complaint with police against a social network user for ‘defaming’ their organisation by spreading news that all three were AHAM members who created trouble.
