TURA: With the launching of a special 15-day campaign to enroll PM-KISAN beneficiaries under the Kisan Credit Card (KCC), East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Swapnil Tembe has urged the beneficiaries to approach the banks for the issue of KCC for availing the concessional institutional credit.
The KCC is an income support scheme for land-holder farmer families in the district.
According to an official circular, the ongoing campaign initiated by the Government of India has started from February 8 to provide benefit to all the PM-KISAN beneficiaries in mission mode to ensure coverage of maximum land-holder farmers.
Banks had been given instruction to issue KCC within 14 days of receipt of completed application forms from the auto-approved farmers.
The circular further said that KCC has been extended to Animal Husbandry and Fisheries farmers as well and that they may approach banks for sanction of additional limit.
