SHILLONG: The state government has decided to make a deferment of 50 per cent in the net salary of the chief minister, ministers and All India Service Officers like IAS, IPS and IFS for the month of March.
The chief secretary said that the decision has been taken in view of the fact that the current COVID-19 situation and lockdown are likely to impact the state’s revenues and receipts from the Union government in the current fiscal.
However, other employees of the state government will receive their full salary, the order stated.
