SHILLONG: With seasonal flu also affecting the people amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a doctor said that home quarantine is the best solution. The retired medical professional, who refused to be named, said that coronavirus symptoms are visible within 7 days at least. “Home quarantine is much better as seasonal flu is going on,” the doctor said.
Easy testing kits have not arrived yet, but these cannot be foolproof anyway, he said adding that staying indoors should be a priority.
“People should not be careless. Being isolated at home is the safest option as even hospitals may not be a safe. We have to be careful”, the doctor said.
