Sec 144 imposed in East Jaintia Hills

Khliehriat: Section 144 CrPC has been promulgated in East Jaintia Hills with effect from 6 am of April 3 to 7 am of April 6, an official statement issued here informed.
However, security forces, medical teams, wholesale and retail pharmacies, police and armed forces, fire & emergency service, MeECL, DTO office, enforcement inspector, DAO, DHO offices, food and civil supply Department, PDS, PWD, PHE department, SBM office, veterinary department, telecom, telegraph, communications & IT services, print and electronic media, district administration, Block & DRDA offices are exempted.
All other essential services including NIC, health services, LPG delivery, online food delivery, online services delivery, courier services, banks and treasuries, petrol pumps having air filler services for vehicles and mobile recharge services shop, vehicles carrying essential commodities, security forces, medical equipment & goods vehicle are also exempted.
