Order for full payment to workers

NONGPOH: The government has ordered the firms to pay their employees without deduction irrespective of the lockdown.
In a statement issued on Friday, the District Magistrate, Ri Bhoi has informed that all employers, be it industries or shops and commercial establishments, shall make payment of wages of their workers, at their work place, on the due date, without any deduction, for the period their establishments are under closure during the lockdown.
“In continuation to the enforcement of the order by the Union Ministry, it is hereby directed that all factories, industries and commercial establishments of the district undertake payment of wages to all the workmen,” the statement said.
