Retired cop held for liquor delivery

Etah (UP): A retired policeman has been arrested here for delivering liquor to the doorsteps of people despite a nationwide lockdown to contain COVID-19, police said on Thursday. Peshkar was held with 13 cartons of country-made liquor in Malawan area, said Etah SSP Sunil Kumar Singh. The accused was involved in liquor trade and home delivery of liquor in the district, the senior superintendent of police said. Peshkar was sent to jail after registration of an FIR against him, the SSP added. (PTI)
