Tripura CM announces cash assistance for vendors

Agartala: The state government has announced to provide one-time financial assistance of Rs 1000 to 8666 street vendors of the state in view of the lockdown.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said as many as the street vendors have been suffering from loss due to the close down of their business.
The assistance would be paid from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and transfer to their bank accounts.
Chief Minister Deb and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma last night reviewed the overall situation of Covid-19 in the state and undertaken measures of the government to manage the situation with the top officials of the administration.
He informed that none of the 17 close contacts of first infected of Covid-19 in Tripura was found positive and the women is recovering gradually and said, “There is no reason to be panic or afraid of the spread of disease. (UNI)
