Nongpoh MLA urges CM to extend lockdown

Nongpoh: The local legislator of Nongpoh constituency, Mayralborn Syiem while extending his best wishes to the Government in the fight against COVID-19 also urged the Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma to extend the lockdown in the state up to April 30 to contain the transmission chain of the disease.
“We understand the pain and problems faced by our beloved farmers and all the public in our state due to the lockdown, as per the present trend, this disease is spreading very fast in our country. So, I would like to suggest that lockdown in the state has to be clamped till 30th April 2020 so that we break the transmission chain of the disease,” Syiem stated in the letter.
