TURA: The Meghalaya Government has announced  a one-time grant of Rs 3000/- to citizens of the state who are currently stranded in other parts of the country due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

The one-time grant is being provided through the Chief Miister’s Special Grant taking into consideration that many residents including students, workers and those from other professions are unable to return to the state due to the suspension of Air and Rail transportation in view of the Nationwide lockdown.

All individuals wanting to avail of the cash support have been instructed to fill up a short online form providing their information including Bank account details and documentary evidence of currently being outside the state.

The weblink for the form has been made available at www.meghalayaonline.gov.in/covid/ . The cash support will then be directly credited to the bank accounts of the individuals.
