Assam Rifles in service of needy

SHILLONG: The troops of Assam Rifles of Kohima Battalion visited Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home and distributed basic essentials there, a statement by the Assam Rifles said. The chairman of the orphanage home expressed her gratitude for the kind gesture, it added. In a separate statement, the Assam Rifles said that they, in conjunction with civil administration, organised distribution of reusable masks made by families of Assam Rifles at Fatikroy Sub Division of Unakoti district, Tripura. A total of 500 masks were distributed to the locals in five villages. The Tuensang Bn, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North), has also taken necessary steps to purchase fruits and vegetables from the farmers in Nagaland, as a move to boost economic sustenance.
