MGU provides lunch pack to needy

SHILLONG: The staff of Mahatma Gandhi University Meghalaya, lead by its Chancellor Dr Rajan Chopra distributed food to daily wagers, homeless people and other people on Sunday in Ri Bhoi.
Maintaining hygiene precautions by wearing face masks and using hand sanitizers during food distribution, the volunteers of the university are giving out packed lunch to daily wage earners.
The university also added that students are taught through their Learning Management System where student and teachers canaccess course books, e-books, virtual classes, PPTs, online assignments and other materials.
Moreover, regular online classes being conducted by our teachers with the help of different digital media will definitely help the student community enormously in completing the regular syllabus.
The university said it is still able to provide quality education as per the UGC and MHRD norms even during the lockdown and and they follow the daily time table of the classes with authorities reviewing the daily on-going classes.
