Chief Justice appointment notified

SHILLONG: The Joint Secretary, Union Ministry of Law and Justice, on Thursday issued a notification for the appointment of Justice Biswanath Somadder, Judge of Allahabad High Court, as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya.
Justice Somadder will replace Justice Mohammad Rafiq, who was appointed in November last year. Justice Rafiq has been transferred as the Chief Justice of the Orissa High Court.
