Launch of cultural e-zine

SHILLONG: Ramakrishna Mission Shillong has decided to mark the anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s Shillong lecture on April 27, 1901.
To mark the day, an e-zine “Ka Jingshai – The Light”, a Khasi-English-Hindi e-zine will be launched through video conferencing by Swami Smarananandaji Maharaj, president, Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math on April 27 at 10 am.
The entire programme will be broadcasted live on the YouTube Channel – ‘Vivekananda Cultural Centre’. The print version will be inaugurated from Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Cultural Centre.
This is the first time Vivekananda Cultural Centre is portraying the cultural heritage of Meghalaya and its relation to the other parts of our country through poetry, literature, photography, artwork and cartoon that will reach thousands of readers and bring home the light of Meghalayan culture.
The e-zine will also have an audio version of the main articles generated through Text To Speech technology.
Eminent personalities like Sumar Sing Sawian, Dr Ananya S Guha, Dr T K Kharbamon and Dr Anita Panda are in the editorial board of the magazine while Raphael Warjri did the painting and designing of the magazine.
