Wine shops to open in WJH

JOWAI: The Deputy Commissioner of West Jaintia Hills, on Monday, allowed opening of wine shops and bonded warehouses with renewed license for the year 2020-21 in the district on Wednesday and Saturday between 9 am and 4 pm.
The deputy commissioner, while asking the wine stores to strictly follow all guidelines, asked them to work with minimum staff.
Seeking cooperation from the stores, the deputy commissioner warned them that all shops will be closed in the event of any untoward incidents being reported. He added that all wine stores close to the international borders are to remain closed.
