Online passes for migrant citizens stranded in state

KHLIEHRIAT: The state government has informed that migrant citizens stranded in the state can obtain permit passes online.
The East Jaintia Hills District Deputy Commissioner, in a press release, informed that as per government instructions, migrant citizens stranded in the state and who wish to leave on their own arrangement, should register themselves in the portal at https://meghalayaonline.gov.in/covid under the heading ‘Registration Form for individual stranded in Meghalaya’.
After registration, an acknowledgement receipt will be generated indicating ‘Permitted to Exit Meghalaya’ which has to be shown at the exit point. Exit will be permitted after screening at the exit gate as per protocol and re-entry will not be permitted without permission from the government.
The DC also informed that for residents to enter the state, an application for transit pass should be addressed to the deputy commissioner.
Whereas, for stranded migrants who wish to leave home for their respective states, application for transit pass should be addressed to the additional deputy commissioner.
