Youth body donates food in EJH

JOWAI: The Southern Border Youth Welfare Association (SBYWA) contributed essential commodities to poor families in three villages in East Jaintia Hills.
The association general secretary, Namphrangmi L Talang, informed that the SBYWA has extended help to poor families of Lakadong, Lakadong – Umlatdoh and Bataw village on Tuesday. Around 63 families benefited with essential commodities such as rice, cooking oil and dal.
Meanwhile, the Dorbar Shnong Pamrakmai village has expressed its gratitude to MDC Lomris Lyngdoh for his contribution to the villagers. “Lyngdoh donated essential commodities and his assistance has greatly helped the families that are facing hardships due to the nationwide lockdown to contain COVID-19,” the Rangbah Shnong, LM Shylla, said.
