Conrad roots for regional economic zones

SHILLONG: In the video conference with the  Prime Minister on Monday, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma pushed the need for regional economic zones in the country amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Sangma also spoke about Meghalaya’s Economic Task Force which has been constituted to make strategy for  the revival of the state’s economy. Among other issues, travel restrictions and improvement of health infrastructure were also laid out in the video meeting.
