Prohibitory order imposed in Ri Bhoi

NONGPOH: The Ri Bhoi District Magistrate has issued prohibitory orders to ensure strict observance of protocols and advisories issued by the government from 6 am to 7 pm till May 18.
The district magistrate has prohibited inter-district and inter-state movement and assembly of five or more persons. Every individual should mandatorily maintain social distancing of at least six feet, wear mask, maintain respiratory etiquette and strictly follow the various protocols and advisories of the government. Operation of major markets (iew heh /iew die lang) and shopping complexes in all commercial location is banned.
While, the Block Development Officers of Ri Bhoi will issue vehicle passes to their respective officers and staff specifically for official purposes and to private agency (s) under their respective jurisdictions for performing specific permitted economic activities.
However, passes for all forms of inter-district or inter-state movement shall only be issued by the district magistrate.
