NEIGRIHMS gets kits, equipment worth Rs 10L

SHILLONG: The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Regional Headquarter, Shillong, a central PSU under Union Ministry of Power, on Tuesday, handed over PPE, masks and medical equipment worth over Rs 10 lakh to NEIGRIHMS.
The PSU has contributed a sum of Rs 10,03,800 towards purchasing 3,690 numbers of ‘95 per cent filtering face mask respirator’ also known as KN-95 mask for Rs 4,99,800 and 1 unit of video laryngoscope for Rs 5,04,000 under ‘Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)’ initiative.
The corporation said, “NEIGRIHMS is in the forefront of providing healthcare service in this region. Doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers are working round the clock during the pandemic risking their lives”. The institute expressed its gratitude to the corporation for such help at this time. The KN-95 masks and video laryngoscope were handed over to the department concerned by Prof DM Thappa, Director and David T Umdor, Deputy Director of NEIGRIHMS.
