50 return to state from Kolkata

SHILLONG: As many as 50 people arrived in the state travelling in two buses from Kolkata on Wednesday.
Multiple number of health screening as well as medical and blood tests were conducted for the passengers following which they were sent for home quarantine.
The state government arranged food for the returnees through Mahavir seva sadan on the first day of their travel. The journey began on Monday night and culminated on Wednesday evening.
The buses were organised by Vivekananda Singh Rathore in association with Prasant Sinha Roy with the support of Emi Pakynteina and Mike Thangkhiew.
The group reached at Byrnihat at 6 am of Wednesday and Umiam at 1 pm.
After a 12-hour long journey, the people had to undergo a number of tests before they could reach the city.
The returnees finally reached Polo circa 5 pm and after following due norms they were allowed to go home by 6 pm.
