Returnees advised to self-isolate

NONGPOH: The District Magistrate of Ri Bhoi said all citizens who have returned back to the district from outside the state are to strictly maintain isolation.
The DC informed the public that the government is monitoring their movements and has found enumerable cases where persons under quarantine were found not maintaining strict isolation, thereby, violating the provision of the Meghalaya Epidemic Diseases COVID-19 Regulations 2020 which is punishable under relevant section of law.
The DC said that certificate by the medical officer on completion of home quarantine shall be issued only after obtaining the certificate issued by the Community COVID Management Committee (CCMC).
