‘Inflated’ electricity bills shock residents

SHILLONG: The president of Mawlai Town Durbar, SD Khongwir, has urged the Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL) to look into the allegedly inflated electricity bills received by the people of the area.
In a letter to the MePDCL, Khongwir said that the residents have been complaining about receiving the inflated bills and the pressure that comes with it affecting their daily lives, especially during the current crisis.
