Garo NGO distributes dry ration

SHILLONG: Dry ration for 700 families was distributed by a relief team from Bakdil Ngo with support from Manos Unidas Spain, a charity organisation from Spain. On Saturday, 21 kilo of rice, 3 kilo of potatoes, 2 kilo of masoor dal, 1 kilo iodine salt and 1 liter of mustard oil were distributed to 150 families in Paham village under Demdema block. Fr Benoy Joseph from Paham Parish was present during the distribution. Awareness on COVID-19 was also presented. The NGO will be distributing rations at Dalu and Gasuapara on Saturday and Monday. Manos Unidas is a Spanish Catholic church organisation for the aid, promotion and development of third world countries.
