SHILLONG: Bethany Hospital, which grabbed the headlines after its director-founder, Dr John L Sailo, became the state’s first victim of COVID-19 and eventually passed away, was thoroughly disinfected on Sunday. The disinfection was carried out under the purview of Directorate of Health Services based on the Hospital Infection Prevention & Control guidelines by National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC),
Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, quality manager and spokesperson of the Bethany Hopsital, Dr Kyntiewlang Sanmiet, said in a statement.
He further informed that a thorough clean-up will follow as per guidelines.
“We look forward to restoring our fabric of care and feel more determined than ever to once again serve our patients with compassion, care and commitment”, Sanmiet said.
