Man falls to death, body unclaimed

SHILLONG: The office of the Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, informed that the body of an unknown male, who had fallen off the first floor of Jowai Municipal Parking Lot here on April 18 and died on the spot, has been kept in the Civil Hospital for identification and claiming.
According to the SP’s office, the deceased has fair complexion, is around 40 years old and 5 ft tall. He was found wearing a red and white t-shirt, maroon sweater, green jacket and a white trouser and cotton waist belt. After observing legal formalities, the body was sent to the SDM&HO Civil Hospital for holding post-mortem examination, following which it was kept in the hospital morgue room for claiming, the SP’s office said.
