EKH allows doorstep delivery to retailers

SHILLONG: To enable the transportation of essential commodities, East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, M War Nongbri, has allowed identified wholesale traders to conduct doorstep delivery to identified retailers in various localities.

 The DC, in a statement on Thursday, has further directed all identified wholesale traders to open on May 22 and 23May from 11 am to 4 pm, only for loading of essential goods that are to be delivered to identified retailers. “Lifting of stocks will be strictly regulated by executive magistrates stationed on site, there shall be no retail sale from identified wholesale traders and any contravention of this order shall cause the shop to be closed,” the statement said. The statement added that all directives and standard operating procedure from the government are to be strictly complied with.
