SHILLONG: The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) central executive committee has said that NEHU undergraduate and postgraduate examinations in the month of July should be conducted after 40 days of physical class covering important topics and after proper sanitisation of academic buildings and hostel. The HYC wrote to the vice-chancellor and controller of examination, NEHU, with regard to the conduct of examination in July.

It added that the university should give reasonable time with regard to payments of semester and examination fees considering economic hardships, which has been hindered by the pandemic. HYC also said NEHU should not conduct any online examination as there are students from the state and the North East, who still suffer due to poor connectivity and power supply issues.
