Four fall ill after consuming toxic mushroom

NONGSTOIN: Four persons from the same family fell ill after consuming poisonous mushrooms in Nongspung, West Khasi Hills. The four persons have been identified as Ailang Lyngkhoi (11), Kyrshan Lyngkhoi (16), Kyrshanborlang Lyngkhoi (13) and Wilindaris Lyngkhoi (22).
Kyrshan was brought to Nongstoin Civil Hospital unconscious and referred to Shillong for further treatment while the other three are stable and under treatment in Nongstoin Civil Hospital. Source said the youngest member gathered the mushrooms from a nearby garden and his sister prepared a meal out of it. After consuming the mushrooms, all of them fell ill.
