Meghalaya notifies officials to travel outside the state

SHILLONG: Meghalaya government has notified a dedicated team of officers to make necessary transport arrangement on payment basis for residents who need to travel outside the state.

Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said, “To ease our people who are planning to move out of the state to different destinations – some of them want to go down to Vellore for medical check-up or treatment or any other purposes –  we have notified one dedicated team”.

He added that till date inter-state movement is not allowed. The officers for transportation arrangement will be in railway station, airport.

The dedicated team is in the DTO Shillong. Any citizen of the state who want to undertake travel outside the state they can contact at the number – 8787561584.

The citizens of Garo hills who want to move out  may contact  the DTO office in Tura at the numbers 7005531765 and 8787776147 and  977 4706399.
