SHILLONG: A woman from Umlyngka has alleged that party members of the PDF, Umlyngka abused and threatened her after she questioned the way they were selecting names of needy families for COVID relief from MLA in the locality. The woman identified as Doria Shabong has also written to the chairperson of Meghalaya Women’s Commission informing her about the threat from the party members.
Shabong said that around seven PDF members came to her residence and started shouting and threatening her that they will even see that she does not receive any scheme for interfering in their work.
The woman has alleged that the party workers were not honest in selecting the names of families who really needed help.
