Theft
Emidaca Kharshiing lodged a complaint that on June 5, between 7 and 9 pm, miscreant(s) broke into NEICCWA Girls Hostel at Dhankheti, Shillong, and stole a TV valued around Rs 14,000, LPG cylinder, etc.
M Mynthlu lodged a complaint that on June 4, miscreant(s) broke into her shop at Jowai, West Jaintia Hills, and stole Rs. 5,640 and goods valued around Rs 32,980.
Kermiki Pyrtuh lodged a complaint that on June 3 around 2 am, miscreant(s) stole four heads of cattle from a cowshed at Blai Mawsuk located between Shangpung and Mynktung in West Jaintia Hills.
Kimland K Lyngiong lodged a complaint that on the June 7, unknown miscreant(s) broke into Seven Sisters Secondary School at Mawmitbah, SWKH, and stole cash Rs. 20,000, cashbook, etc.

Duped
Mithu Sinha Choudhury lodged a complaint that on June 4, an unknown person, who claimed to be a sales and promotion executive of Amazon, invited her to make purchases using Amazon Pay. After sharing her debit card details and OTP, she found Rs 54,290 was debited from her SBI account without her unauthorisation.
Anshu Sharma of HQ, EAC, Upper Shillong, lodged a complaint that on June 7, around 5:11 pm, she received a phone call from one unknown person who was using the display picture of her school principal. The caller then requested her to purchase Amazon Gift Cards for him. The complainant, believing that it was her principal, agreed and made four transactions amounting to Rs 1,95,000, only to find out later that she was duped.

Fraud
Bharali of NEIGRIHMS, lodged a complaint that on June 2, he applied for a loan from IIFL Finance online and the verification was conducted by Moushina of BYJUs. Later, he received an SMS from BYJUs, and on enquiry, he found that he was being duped into making payments through fake links. Further, when the complainant tried to stop, he was constantly contacted through messages and at times also threatened to make payments.
Gopal Kumar Rai of Khliehriat, East Jaintia Hills, lodged a complaint about internet banking-related fraud against Maxica Financial Services, Pvt., Ltd., stating that on January 14, around 6.13 pm, an unknown person, who claimed to be an employee of Maxica Financial Services, informed the complainant that the company is ready to extend loan amounting to Rs 25 lakh.

Alleged murder
Roberth Lyngdoh Mawdoh lodged a complaint that on the intervening night of June 5 and 6, Pullibor Lyngdoh Mawnai of Wahra village, West Khasi Hills, murdered Silvermoon Lyngdoh Mawdoh of the same village.

Assault
Sofiol Miah of Nandirchar village, South West Garo Hills, lodged a complaint that on June 6, around 9 pm, as many 12 persons — Jalal Sk, Abdul Basaya Sk, Aminul Sk, Hasibar Sk, Hasinur Sk, Hafizur Sk, Kurshed Alom, Rukiya Begum, Hasina Bibi, Paribanu Begum, Kulsuma Khatun and Abdul Hussain — all from Nandirchar village, armed with ‘dao’, sword and sticks, entered the house of the complainant and attacked his family members. As a result, the complainant and his family members, Moksed Ali (father), Saiton Bibi (mother), Sariful Khatun (sister), Samiol Miah (brother) and Ekramul Miah (nephew), sustained injuries and were shifted to CHC Mahendraganj from where they were referred to Civil hospital Tura.
A woman lodged a complaint that on June 2 around 6.30 pm, her brother viz., Janush N Sangma, under the influence of liquor, went to his parent’s house at Rangmal Badim village, EGH, created nuisance and assaulted her with a knife. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Williamnagar from where she was referred to CH Tura.

Provocation in social media
Rikse R Marak, secretary to the Executive Committee, Garo Hills Autonomous District Council, lodged a complaint that some group members of GHADC employees, — Tengti Marak, Walman Sangma, Toesik S Sangma, James Marak, Solome Sangma and others — were involved in a group chat in social media with likelihood of affecting the public tranquility.

Illegal transport of betel nut
On June 4, around 1.30 pm, police conducted ‘naka’ checking at Lumdiengngan, Ri Bhoi and detected two night super buses (AS-01GC-3886 and AS-19C-0074), illegally transporting one hundred bags of dry areca nut from Silchar towards Guwahati.

Coal truck detained
Chirup Pamthied, Assistant Mines Royalty Inspector, Umkiang DMR check gate, East Jaintia Hills, lodged a complaint that on June 4, around 12.25 am, DMR staff of Umkiang check gate detected one truck (NL-01AD-6479) while illegally transporting coal in violation of NGT order.

Fraudulent transaction
Anupam Sharma of HQ, EAC, Upper Shillong, lodged a complaint that on May 2, around 3.33 pm, he learnt that four unauthorised transactions, amounting to Rs 13,849, were made from his SBI debit card.
