Curfew extended till June 21 in West Garo Hills

TURA: The curfew  in West Garo Hills district was further extended till 6 am of June 21 on by the West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner.

All activities with regard to the opening of shops and public movement as well as restrictions and advisories which have already been given in earlier curfews remains the same.

In Tura town area, barring barber shops, beauty parlours etc, all shops will remain open from Monday to Saturday while main markets like Tura Super market, Urban Marketing Hub, Sundare Shopping Complex, Rikman Shopping Complex, N M Complex, Sohra Complex, GHADC New Building and Bazar India Shopping Mall will function under the supervision of the Tura Municipal Board (TMB).

However, tea shops, Dhabas and restaurants including those located at the Bazar India Shopping Mall will continue to remain closed. Roadside hawkers have also been prohibited on crowded junctions and main roads and shops have been advised to strictly maintain social distancing warning that action would be taken against violators. The timing for the opening of shops is from 8 am to 4 pm.

The guidelines of the curfew are the same for rural areas with all shops being allowed to open from Monday to Saturday barring tea stalls, restaurants and Dhabas.
