Body of newborn recovered in Umsning

Nongpoh: The Umsning Police Outpost on Tuesday recovered a corpse of a newborn baby wrapped in a plastic bag near Umsning Community Health Center in Ri Bhoi District. As per sources, it was informed that the baby was first noticed by a passerby, who later intimated the village leaders and the police of Umsning Outpost.
The body was later forwarded to Nongpoh Civil Hospital for post-mortem and other necessary formalities were carried out.
