118 complete 28-day quarantine in SWKH

MAWKYRWAT: The Deputy Commissioner of South West Khasi Hills District, Isawanda Laloo, on Thursday said that 118 of the 197 returnees to the district from different parts of the country have completed 28 days of quarantine.
Laloo said that most of them stayed in the community quarantine centres prepared by the Dorbar Shnong in different villages while some of them were either in home or institutional quarantine.
Out of 197 returnees, 118 have completed 28 days quarantine and 50 have completed 14 days while 29 of them are yet to complete 14 days. So far no positive case has been detected in the district.
Under the guidance of the DC, villages in the district have formed COVID-19 Management Committees at the village level and 139 community quarantine centres have been prepared by the Dorbar Shnong for the returnees across the district of which 97 are in Mawkyrwat Block and 40 in Ranikor Civil Sub-Division.
