GUWAHATI: Twelvemore areas in Guwahati city have been declared containment zones by Kamrup Metropolitan District Administration on Friday in the wake of detection of COVID-19 patients.
The new containment zones are located at : Kamakhya Gate, Jyotikuchi (near Jame Masjid), Kalyanpur (Ganeshguri), GMC Colony-II (Fatasil Ambari), Dhirenpara-III, Borpathar (Basistha), Barsapara-II, Bongaon (Beltola), Fatasil, Colony Bazaar (opposite fish market), Anil Nagar, Dhirenpara-IV (A K Azad Road),
Meanwhile, containment zone restrictions were withdrawn from Arihan Apartment at Pan Bazaar and Christian Basti. However, containment zone restriction along Colonel J Ali Path at Pan Bazaar will remain in force.
