Brave new world
The world is same but the order new,
Monarchy is a thing of bygone era;
People are enjoying the basic freedoms,
And life has become a multi-layered fora;
This is entirely a brave new world,
Where miles to go is everybody’s dream;
Science has made rapid strides, and
Technology is flashing always a friendly gleam;
We are living in the age of computers,
Where algorithms are driving force of life;
Man has become a trivial pawn on chessboard,
To be used as cannon fodder in unending strife;
In the age of glamour and abnormal glitter,
Cities are falsely turning into concrete jungles;
The enemy of nature is man himself,
Lives of flora and fauna are in a shambles;
The materialistic culture has caused a dent
Into the society’s moral and social fabric;
Man is gradually losing the humane approach,
And heading towards an unwelcome rubric.

Broken doll
Realising this isn’t a dream is what breaks my heart.
These things should only happen in nightmares
Where I suddenly wake up with a start
And say, ‘Thank God, it’s only a dream’.
But it’s not. Fate is too cruel.
I was given a void that killed my entire being.
A pawn fighting a fierce queen; am I that of a fool?
Or should I hope for another Spring?
A marionette by day and a ragged doll by night.
Empty soul, cool eyes, a heart that stings, flames that no longer burn
Under the sun, a smile to make it alright,
At the end of the tunnel, will I ever see the fire?
The moment when one truth shattered all the things you believe in,
Questioning if love shown was genuine.
Waking up everyday with a heavy heart and a lump stuck in your throat.
Crying in front of someone who won’t tell a soul.

Virus
Virus oh! Virus
Who are you?
Do you know
What you do?
You closed our school,
Even our Sunday school;
I don’t think that’s cool,
Because you are a fool.
I am not scared of you,
Because I can’t see you;
Someday I’ll get rid of you,
By washing my hands with soap and water too.
Please virus go away,
This is not your home to stay;
Back to school like normal days,
With my friends, I want to play.

About love
Only word
Love is not
Only bad
Love is not
Only sad
Love is not
Only with you…
So be free again
Again with love
In your mind inside
In your body outside
Following you and you
Love only for everything
Pick up but
Careful about true
Live with love
In your valuable life
Lie also dancing
With your love
Every day with fun
Without love.
