Covid situation leads to blood crisis at Tura Civil Hospital

TURA: The current Covid-19 situation has resulted in shortage of blood at the Blood Bank of the Tura Civil Hospital.

Tura Civil Hospital Superintendent, Dr Minakshi Sangma informed that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, normal and regular voluntary blood donation camps could not be conducted as usual which has led to the blood crisis.

Dr Sangma while informing that the hospital was observing World Blood Donors’ Day from June 14 to July 14 appealed to all the able bodied citizens and members of different NGOs of Garo Hills to come forward and voluntarily donate their blood.
